Enriching Learning Through Experiential Trips at GFM

At GFM, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Experiential learning through trips and visits is a vital part of our educational approach, enriching our curriculum and nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

Our carefully planned excursions are strategically aligned with curriculum objectives, offering students meaningful, real-world contexts to apply their knowledge and skills. Each term, students across all year groups participate in engaging trips that complement their classroom studies—ranging from museum visits and cultural landmarks to live performances and interactive exhibitions.

For example, a recent trip to a local science museum provided students with hands-on opportunities to explore scientific concepts in action, while a visit to a historical site deepened their understanding of the UAE's rich heritage. These experiences help bring lessons to life, making learning more dynamic, memorable, and impactful.

To ensure maximum benefit, our teaching approach includes both pre-visit preparations and post-visit reflections. This process not only reinforces key learning outcomes but also fosters critical thinking and encourages students to reflect on their experiences thoughtfully.

In our commitment to inclusion, the GFM Inclusion Department recently organized a Life Skills trip to Lulu Hypermarket. SEND students participated fully, gaining practical experience in shopping and budgeting—boosting their confidence and independence in a supportive, real-world setting.

At GFM, every trip is a step toward deeper understanding, personal growth, and meaningful education.
