iFlourish Scholarships

Applications are now open for students in Years 1-13 to recognise outstanding achievement and contribution to GFM.

GFM iFlourish Scholarships are offered in the following categories:

The High Performance Learning (HPL) Award for academic excellence.
The Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Award for outstanding contribution to the wider school community and wellbeing.
The Florenza Spinola Award for outstanding contribution to the Creative Arts.
The Al-Khansa Award for outstanding contribution to languages and/or literature.
The Good Citizen Award for outstanding school values and citizenship.



The table below outlines the timeline that GFM will follow with regards to the scholarship application process:

Monday, 18th September to Thursday 21st September

Shortlisted students will be notified on Friday, 29th September

To be considered for a GFM iFlourish Scholarship, you should carefully read and follow the application process below:

 

Stage 1

Students may only apply for a scholarship in one category and multiple entries will not be accepted. Submit your completed application form correctly. In no more than 500 words (10 point- Arial text), outline why you feel you qualify for a GFM iFlourish Scholarship. Your application should be submitted electronically to [email protected] no later than  12:00pm on Friday, 15th September 2023. Please save and submit your document using the following naming format: Name_form    Example: Akram Tarik_10b

Stage 2 (only for shortlisted students)

Shortlisted students will be notified and will then be asked to submit the following documents:
• Copies of the previous 2 years’ school reports
• Any supporting documentation such as recommendation letters, copies of awards/certificates, examination results, press clippings and/or video evidence

Further guidelines
Shortlisted candidates may also be invited for a final interview with the school Principal and other members of the leadership team or LAB committee at our discretion. In addition to excellence in their specific field or talent, students are selected on the basis of their potential to act as a positive role model for their peer group through their given specialism. Scholars will be given regular opportunities to represent GEMS Founders School, Al Mizahr and take on leadership roles within their given specialism.
